About me ......

It's time to meet me - A2Z Scraplets new owner - *Deb*. I'm a mum and step-mum of 8 (2 still at school), grandmother of 6 and some. We have 2 dogs, 2 guinea pigs and one very spoilt cat. I have a farming/nursing/business background and have been involved with cardmaking and scrapbooking for about 16 years. My scrapbook pages reflect the events of my and my families life.

Zoos, sanctuaries, wildlife parks are one of the places our family loves visiting. The layout below uses A2Z Scraplets Elephant, inking it to add some texture.

With the growing number of grandchildren, the A2Z Scraplet Pregnant Mumma is the perfect piece to show their ultrasound photos. Techniques for decorating the chipboards are simple inking with chalk inks, flocking and crackle paint.

A2Z Scraplets Arrows - Months

My last share is a fun one using the title "We're a wacky bunch" which is pretty apt for our household. Painted and outlined - chipboards are really simple to decorate and embellish a page.

Until next post, happy scrapping

Well Hasn't this month gone so quickly...can't believe we are about to start the 4th month of the year already.

Toady I would like to share a couple of layouts.

The first one is a layout I created for Show Us Your Stuff Challenge.
It is based on a "green" mood board.

I have used this piece of chipboard:

Here is a close up:

My next layout I created for Scrap the Girls.

The challenge is to use hearts/doileys.
So I thought the heart music notes were perfect for this layout.
This is what I used:

Here is a close up:

I have also completed another layout with the same piece of chipboard but for a different challenge.
This layout was for the 123 Challenge.
As you can see, I decided to leave the chipboard raw this time.

Here is a close up:

Well that's all for me today.

Hope you are all having a wonderful day

Its been a little while in between posts for at the beginning of the month and right at the end.
But there were a lot of great and inspiring creations in between....

Today I would like to share my layout that I created for this months challenge at A2ZScraplets which we combined with White with 1 and had a bit of fun!!!

For this layout I used a Star Frame.

Here is a close up:

Another layout I would like to share is a "Just Because" layout.

For this layout I actually used the "packaging" side of the chipboard compared to the actual chipboard item.
This is the centre circles which displayed 3 saying titles.

Here is a close up:

Thanks for stopping by today on the blog...hope I have inspired you to scrap some more.
Did you get your White with 1 challenge in?
You can enter on the A2ZScraplets challenge too.

Have a great day...

a little re-introduction

Hello and good morning to you all. Today is my turn for a bit of a re-intro about myself ... and that is when the words slip my mind... it does not happen often but this kind of thing is really hard, so here it goes...

My name is Tracey Thorne and I am married to a  fabulous husband and two teenage children and we live in Brisbane.... oh I almost forgot my extra child our dog Peppa... she gets a lot of paper time now and will be popping up in my layouts a lot more as it gets harder to photograph the teens.

I have doing some kind of craft since I was young. I come from a long line of crafters - dressmakers, milliners, cake makers,  potters, painters... so I guess I like to tinker as it is in my blood. I first started with dressmaking & photography in highschool then added quilting to that and then came Scrapbooking around 1997. The death of my father spurred me on to redo my parents' wedding album. Looking at it now it could be time to re-do that album as things have certainly changed from way back then. Not realising it was scrapbooking I was introduced properly to the craft by a good friend Kerri when she had 'a party' at her home around 2005. From there on we hit it off and were crafting together all the time, papercrafts and fabric ... definitely some of the best highlights of my life. Now a days I love to get together with a lot of friends I have met online and travel to craft retreats when I can making new memories everyday and learning all the time.

I have been lucky enough to be on the A2Z Scraplets team for quite a long time and am enjoying being a part of all the new things that are being developed by Debra. Here are a few of my past layouts that are my favourites -

I look forward to sharing some of the new designs with you real soon... have a great week of crafting

p.s i'll have to re edit as i need to find a good pic of me -- I like to dodge the camera a bit.... ;)

It is my turn to re introduce myself...

Hello, my name is Belinda Scott and I live in Western Australia, around 4hrs north of Perth. I am married to a patience, Scottish Farmer and we have 3 beautiful girls. As well as working full time for one farmer, Hubby and I brought a farm for ourselves. It means that between school, sport and farming life is busy BUT I have loads layouts to creative from all of that.
I have been a DT for A2Z for about 16 months. The way I got on the team was by winning a Guest Spot and I have been here ever since. I am not sure what I would call my style but I love white space, mix media and, of course, scraplets. The way I scrap in working out what mood/memory I want to 'show' on the layout and I go from there.

Now for the best/hard bit....showing my favorite layouts:

This one is about the Christmas dress that all 3 girls worn. I used the title 'Magic of Christmas' and a flourish scraplet in the bottom right.

This is the layout I won my Guest Post with. I used the title 'Angel with Attitude' and the Butterfly

Another all time fav. The scraplets are 'Look at me' and the Stencil Chevron.

My first real go at Mix Media. I used the title 'Little Princess', Butterfly and Flourishes.

Last is one I did in the last release with Julie, the 3 frames.

Well it was nice meeting you all again

Thanks for looking

Belinda :)

Dt Inspiration with Caz

Hi Caz here today with a couple of shares that will hopefully inspire you.
First of all we have a layout I created with 2 of my daughters dance recital photos.
I just added texture paste to the Title word "Love" and then sprayed with some glimmer mist.

Some close ups.

I used the following scraplets
Next we have a layout I created of my beloved Bon Jovi from the concert we went to back in December 2013
Some close ups once again just adding some texture paste to the scraplets here and there to give them some definition and then some misting with various colours.

I used the following scraplets

I hope you have enjoyed what I have shared with you today. Now I am off to enjoy my birthday :)
Till next time
Happy Crafting
Caz xo
